how does AJAX toggler work?

Hey,
I've just downloaded AJAX toggler and I can't figure out how to use it.
I enabled it and I know how to use AJAX in normal PHP. Can someone please explain how can I use AJAX in Joomla through the toggler?

Please enable the plugin and try to order i.e. Article List by clicking column name, you will see how it works.
