I'd like this bridge to be able to redirect all private messaging functions from phpBB to JomSocial or (more useful for me) to redirect all all private messaging in JomSocial to phpBB.
Re: Feature request for advanced integration.
Is there a possibility of having the JomSocial Events integrated into phpBB in some way like the Groups have been? When a new Event is created in JomSocial a new forum for the Event is created in phpBB in a predetermined phpBB category and it inherits its permissions from the parent category.
I'm wasn't sure if this feature was already in the works or not so I just thought I'd mention it.

Would it be possible to get the jomsocial toolbar as a joomla module? that way i can display the toolbar above my forums in wrapper mode when users login? this would be an excellent feature and it should display when the user has a new message like it does.

If you have an updated version of Jomsocial, there is a built in menu already created when you install (I think since 1.9.x version).
You can set up a module to show the menu on the forum in a wrapped mode. If you want to have it as a horizontal menu, that will depend on your template. You might need to create some edits to have a second horizontal menu. it all really depends on the template you are using.
However, I do know that there are other menu module plugins available
for Joomla that you can display custom menus, both horizontal and vertical.
The Best I know of: http://joomseller.com/joomla-modules/dr ... -menu.html
Check out Joomla's extension directory for a large selection of menus.
Peace,

Peace is not what you seek in the world, but what you find within yourself.
