When we upgraded to Joomla 2.5 recently we had to drop SMF due to incompatibilities. We're currently using Kunena which lacks really useful features that are standard in phpbb. I'm considering using your bridge software to regain those features. My initial question is:

When will the converter from Kunena to phpbb3 be available for Joomla 2.5? I won't change to any software that causes us to lose our current forum, so this is crucial.

It is already available, the converter was added months ago.

The sales page still says it is for Joomla 1.5 only, hence my confusion.
The bridge comes with build-in powerful Fireboard/Kunena-to-phpBB3 converter, which carefully converts all Fireboard data including smilies, ranks, attachments, users, moderators and avatars from either Community Builder or Fireboard. Converter can be used for converting large Fireboard forums (tested on forum with 5000+ members and 25000+ replies). Converter is available for Joomla 1.5 only!

hi,

i'm interessted in pro version. I've had a joomla 1.5 install with phpbb 3.0.7 and rokbridge.

since yesterday i've the version online, now with joomla 2.5 and actually no forum online. i want to integrate the existing forum into the new website.

one of the biggest disadvantage of rokbrige was, when phpbb sends out an email, registration confirmation for example, it includes an url pointing directly to the forum. if user is following this url is jumps directly to forum, but not to the version of my website with the forum included.

I'll avoid this in future. Is this possible with your bridge?

regards
bruno

Yes, all links in phpBB's outcoming emails are already SEF and pointed to wrapped forum.

Admin.

Before purchasing the bridge for Joomla 2.5 I have three questions.

1: Is it possible for the bridge to over-ride the Joomla user modules and go full screen but leaving the top menu in place?

2: Once the full license is purchased does this last until the next Joomla version post 2.5 or beyond/before?

Thank you.
