Some Questions 2

Post by LOWW »

I am interested in p8pbb bridge and p8pbb comments.
How about an phpbb 3.2 Forum? I know the are not released yet as finish but do you tested it?

My "problem" is I will use different Domains with different Contend for example an Forum for Pets and Site A (Cat), Site B (Dogs), Site C (Fish),... and every comment shuild be visible in the Forum.
My Hoster use "C Panel". My Package include 10 DB and 10 Domains can be add.

There are no news about phpBB 3.2.

If you need multiple domains for forum, it won't work.

The run on the same Hosting Package.
How does the connection between the Forum and the Joomla Page (should) work?

Here is an overview how it will be:

Bridge uses single Joomla installed in domain root folder and single phpBB installed in 1st-level subfolder. It doesn't support any other domains.

So how does the Connection work?
Where does the Connection is between the 2 System? A File? an DB entry?
In theories there is an layer above the Webserver where everything could connect.
I have to do a little research on the System what my hoster use.

phpBB code is executed inside Joomla code, Joomla-phpBB users are mapped via case-insensitive username.
