Question about Groups

I would like to create a group for "Supporting Members" on my site, both in Joomla and pbpBB. Supporting Members would pay yearly for Supporting Member access, have a special forum badge, etc.

The question I have is...if their group is downgraded in Joomla (say, using a 3rd Party membership extension), will the downgrade automatically carry over to phpBB?

3rd Party membership extension should use native Joomla JUser->save() method, in this case the bridge will know about changes in user's group and automatically assign/remove user from associated phpBB group.

The only think I wish is that you could use more styles with it when you use use Joomla as the wrapper.

Unfortunately, it's not easy to modify styles and this can affect extension price, so better keep it minimized.
