Re: Direct Alias Pro - canonical links
... from that shortening. The canonical wouldn't be needed if 301 redirect would be used but it's not. The site is configured to use short urls via Direct Alias Pro, so the content is linked by domain.xy/id_nr. This is the way how the content is linked from articles and how are linked the articles ...

Re: Direct Alias Pro - canonical links
... article, it means incorrect configuration and links usage. Joomla itself can't display different links per same article, the link is always same. Direct Alias is not for canonical links, it's for shortening Joomla URLs. Unfortunately, I don't think that we need any canonical options for articles ...

Re: Direct Alias Pro - canonical links
That is if you have second domain, if not canonical links are not presented at all - but they should be or they should use 301 redirect.
The solution would be probably same like in previous case. I will try to test it on some new joomla installation.

Direct Alias Pro - canonical links
Hello, would be possible to add override to canonical links creation? Re: Remove Category from K2 URLs
Direct Alias Pro can only remove IDs from native Joomla articles component (com_content), it doesn't work with K2.
Both Direct Alias and Direct Alias Pro can remove parent menu items' aliases from menu item URL.

Re: Remove Category from K2 URLs
In this example, 'alterbrains-rocks' is an item alias - the item URL is generated from of a K2 > Category Type Menu. For clarification: Direct Alias Pro can only remove the IDs of URLs (categories & item alias) generated from 'Blog Category' and 'K2 Category' menu generated URLs, but CAN ...

Currently my K2 Blog Type URLs are like this:
domain.com/blog/alterbrains-rocks
Can Direct Alias Pro remove the category from the URL, making all Blog Type URLs only use the K2 Item Alias:
domain.com/alterbrains-rocks
domain.com/blog/alterbrains-rocks
