Im using a CDN that has issues with my front-end joomla login ( and about 7 other internal URLS )
Id like to take the front-end login and the /administrator and put it on a subdomain.
Is this possible?
Also...What the minimum PHP requirements to install this?
Thanks

Re: Alter Glossary vs Seo Glossary
... I had my eye on Alter Glossary for a long time as a possibility and recently finally bought it. I'm glad to say that, while I'm still exploring it and testing it, so far I'm really impressed with it and am getting the features I need. Crossing fingers that I don't encounter any serious issues. :-)

Re: multi site configuration advice
Only all menus and menu items can be shared.
Sure, it's same as running multiple sites. Also, contents on some of the subsite may increase considerably, should I expect performance issues on all the portal if using a single installation?

... menu always available to browse through subsites, and submenus for each subsite
Will it be possible to share just the main menu through the websites?

If you have phpMediaEmbed ext installed, upgrade to phpBB 3.2.6 may cause issues
I just upgraded to phpBB 3.2.6, and afterwards the joomla wrapped forum is inaccessible: https://halonorge.no/community
The error message given is "0 - Media site 'blab' does not exist".
EDIT: This was due to a plugin incompatibility, see below.

Re: Updating Joomla & 3rd party extensions
If all sites use same tables, it's only required to update extensions on master site.
If each site uses own tables, an extension is updated on each site. There can be issues with updating an extension if it doesn't use native Joomla installer.

Updating Joomla & 3rd party extensions
... site setup with mighty-sites?
Does the multi-sites help in reducing the time needed for maintenance of 10-20 slaves, by managing this only from the master site?
How are the database schemas updates handled across the slaves - when they are using some tables on their own?
Are there any known issues?

If MightySites can make the routing to the subdomains appear like domain categories, I am probably going to go with the MightySites approach. The page ranking and Adsense issues should disappear if that's possible. Need to look at the MightySite installation instructions before committing.

Re: Joomla 3.8
Bridge uses own routing system, it's OK.
But I don't recommend to upgrade to Joomla 3.8 right now, it can have issues and better wait till 3.8.1
