Alter Optimizer 3.0.0

Two new features added:

  1. Advanced page caching: helps to cache the entire page output but re-render specific modules on each page load. I.e. the page contents are cached, but the menu module is re-rendered.
  2. Extraction of critical CSS (above-the-fold CSS): you can extract critical CSS for specific combinations of pages and apply it for the 1st session load. Helps to significantly improve the page loading speed for the new visitors.

Change: Joomla 6 support added.
Change: Joomla 4 support dropped, Joomla 5.4 as min, PHP 8.3 as min.

Direct Alias Pro 3.2.0

  • Feature: saving a menu item with direct alias can display a warning if we have another menu item with the same computed route.
  • Fix: short routes are not applied in backend, when using article preview or accessibility check.
  • Feature: new plugin settings "Remove Separator Aliases" and "Remove Menu Heading Aliases" help to remove aliases for all menu items of specific types.

Joomla! 6 and AlterBrains extensions

The good news: we will add support for Joomla! 6 for all of our extensions, but the active development will only start once we have Joomla! 6.0.0 RC (release candidate) version available.

The plan is to have all extension working natively with Joomla! 5.3.x and 6.x without BC plugins enabled.

The bad news: support for Joomla! 4.x will be dropped. But, the last extension version which works with Joomla! 4.x and 5.3.x will be available for download in order to simplify the process of migration from Joomla! 4 to 5.

Please don't wait with migration to Joomla! 5, the more time you waste - the more time is required in the future.

Alter Surveys 3.2.0

  • Feature: new settings "Show Already Passed Notification" in "Category Layout" and "Survey Layout" display settings to show the "You have already passed this survey on XXX" notification.
  • Feature: using "Invisible Recaptcha" captcha doesn't display "Enter Code" label anymore.
  • Feature: new "fancy-select" layout for Dropdown question displays multiple-select question in Joomla-native fancy layout.
