If you can create your report using single SQL query in phpmyadmin - it will work in Alter Reports as well.

Yes, exactly, MightySites allows to run multiple Joomla websites from single installation of Joomla on master site.

Slave sites are created as parked domains in hosting panel - so they use same files.
But each site can use own database tables and hence have own contents.

You should configure menu items on each website to display single article per site only, so articles should not be duplicated.

For now all tests are going well and we have a plan to release it till Monday. There will be new bridge version (single package for both phpBB 3.0 and 3.1) + new jprosivler style specially for phpBB 3.1 Awesome.... I am eagerly waiting for it. I am more excited for the bridge release ...
