... be forced to use parked domains, but not hosted sub-domains. 2. Not possible, you can either share ALL articles, or not share them. But you can setup a specific category for each site and configure site site to display articles only from its category.

phpBB permissions aren't related to Joomla permissions, so you can only setup modules with different access levels.

... by email. The backend user see the site as usual. All files are same for 2 domains (if they use same Joomla installation), but probably you can setup different paths in Media Manager settings and at least it will use different folders. The articles are managed as usual.

... wondering if using a subdomain ( i.e http://test.site.com) would work ? Is there any workaround to this for those who's webserver may already be setup in such a way that installing joomla on the root would be problematic ?
