I installed your workaround for user registration in Joomla 3.2. Now, Joomla 3.2.1 was published and should solve the issue. Can I update Joomla, or do I have to make the canges undone? Will bridge work with 3.2.1 or would it be better to wait?

I guess you need to use any replacement component which can replace tags in articles.
Replacements will be different in each site, so you will get different variants of text.
