Transferring from one server host to another

I have multi sites installed on a website that has several slave sites attached to it.
Im moving from hostgater virtual private servers to 1and1 dedicated servers.
i have akeeba backup installed on the master site.
Will one backup of akeeba on the master site be enough to transfer itself and all slave sites to the new servers?

You need to additionally backup and restore databases of all sites, if you don't only use single database for all sites.

FYI - did this moving from cpanel to a plesk panel - all the files got corrupted.

Ill dig out the errors for you - just FYI - will not need support on it as i intended to rebuild the sites from scratch anyway.
Chances are its not a mightysites issue but a problem with the plesk migration facility but it might be something you need to be aware of if your not.
