I have my credit card ready - BUT first :!:

 Assuming:
We have a Joomla installation on site.com

We want to have a customers site installed on cust1.site.com
We want to have another customers site installed on cust2.site.com
We want to have a third .... ETC ....

All sites must use the same Joomla installation = MightySites.

 Is this possible :?:

A) Our master log in to Joomla installation on site.com is able to administer all sub-domains, and create new sub-domains. (customers)

B) Each customer has their own log in to access their sub domain on site.com.
- Not any other sites or the master account.

C) Sub domains on site.com have administrative rights to their own layout, menus, sites and module repository.

D) Usage statistics are provided for each sub-domain.

E) Core and module updates are only possible from the master log in at site.com

F) At a later stage we want to be able to have travel.customer.net (example) pointing to cust1.site.com using DNS, hideing the affiliation to site.com

Best regards,
Kristian M Nielsen

PS: Any suggestions as to other useful modules and extensions are most welcome.
(Joomla newbie)

A) Our master log in to Joomla installation on site.com is able to administer all sub-domains, and create new sub-domains. (customers)
Yes, Joomla super admin user in backend of main site site.com will be able to create new sites in MightySites (note that you will need to create a parked domain custx.site.com in your hosting panel first). Admin will also be able to auto-login to backend panels of subsites and edit global config right from backend of main site if subsite has a super admin user with same username.
B) Each customer has their own log in to access their sub domain on site.com.
- Not any other sites or the master account.
Each of your subsites will have a usual Joomla backend like http://cust1.site.com/administrator, each site can have own users as usual. So user of site A will have access to site A only as usual.
C) Sub domains on site.com have administrative rights to their own layout, menus, sites and module repository.
Each of subsites can have own database data, but note that you use same Joomla installation, so all files are shared (files are same for all sites). Depending on subsite user's permissions they can change files and affect other sites, so you need to limit certain permissions like installing extensions etc.
Each subsite can have a usual Super Admin user and a special Admin user for your customer with limited permissions.
D) Usage statistics are provided for each sub-domain.
MightySites is not responsible for any statistics, you need to check if your statistics software can hold few domain names.
E) Core and module updates are only possible from the master log in at site.com.
That completely depends on permissions of users which can login to backend of site as usual in Joomla.
F) At a later stage we want to be able to have travel.customer.net (example) pointing to cust1.site.com using DNS, hideing the affiliation to site.com
Please ask your hosting provider if you can create parked domain travel.customer.net for site.com.
