Do I need to disable Direct Alias before I migrate to J4?

Direct Alias V 2.2.0

Do I need to disable Direct Alias before I migrate to J4? I am currently on the latest Version 2.2 installation and have the Version 3 ready to install on the J4 site.

Disable the plugin, upgrade Joomla, install newest version, enable the plugin finally.
