... category by a tag - each site can just have own tag and you will use 'Tags -> Tagged Items' menu item instead of 'Articles -> Category Blog'. But note that displaying same article in multiple domains is considered by Google as duplicate content.

No, you can share only all K2 items, all iProperty data and all Zoo data.
Please also note that MightySites doesn't clone or transfer database data, it shares it, so multiple sites use same database tables for certain contents.

Yes, you can be logged in master site, next go to slave site - you will be not logged here, so you can register as usual.
Note that if slave site shares users - you can register with same username / email as you have in master site.

... I think that steps below have same logic. So actually each subsite will have a special usergroup with certain permissions for admin user.
