Hi After installing Direct Alias my URLs are much better, thank you. I was wondering why the category ID is shown in the URL? They way you describe how this plugin should work this ID should not be in the URL. I now have a URL like this: www.domain.com/8-category/345-my-article ...

... If both sites has same articles - I guess it will be better to organize them in site-specific categories and next try to limit search by category via module settings (sure if it's possible for RokAjaxSearch - but I doubt and custom Joomla search plugin can be required).

It's possible to share K2 database data. Actually you can also use Joomla tags and display articles not by category by a tag - each site can just have own tag and you will use 'Tags -> Tagged Items' menu item instead of 'Articles -> Category Blog'. But note that displaying same ...

Assign all site-specific articles into single category, i.e. 'Site A News'.

Next in Site A create a new menu item 'Category Blog' type and configure it to display articles from this category.
